About Report

Anytime you enter the ocean you are at a level of risk in having a negative experience with
a marine predator, as the ocean changes constantly, so does your level of risk in having an encounter.
Our reports are a result of data analysis designed to identify these areas of increased risk and
transform them into an easy-to-follow report with illustrations for all ocean users.
Our data sources include oceanographic satellite images, historical shark catch data, shark-human
interaction data, scientific papers written by marine scientists analysing shark behaviour and
historical statistics.
We have carefully segmented each section of the Australian coastline to give our users an
accurate report of the highest quality and give you a clear understanding of what is going on beneath
the surface before you paddle out.
